North Goa: attractions and interesting places. Vagator – beach of Shiva and sacred cows

If you are traveling to Goa for the sea and beaches, do not miss this article. I will tell you about all the beaches of North Goa, share their characteristics, location on the map, personal photographs and videos, and my opinion about each beach, if you are interested. The opinion is subjective. Goa opens up differently for everyone.

12 beaches of North Goa – review, photos, videos

Kerim Beach - the northernmost beach

There are no palm trees on Kerim Beach. Coniferous trees grow there, creating an unusual mystical landscape on the beach. Plus sparsely populated areas, light sand and green deep sea. Kerim Beach is mesmerizing. Only a complete introvert and a desperate lover of solitude and peace can stay there for a long time.

There are a couple of cafes on Kerim beach, and guest houses are easy to find nearby. For shopping and entertainment, it is better to go to neighboring Arambol.

The sea on Kerim is beautiful, but dangerous. Waves are frequent, depth begins immediately. Not the best place to relax with small children.

Kalacha Beach - the beach of the Beatles and Sweet Lake

Kalacha Beach is famous for its Sweet Lake, an unusual landscape, large stones in the sea and a banyan tree under which the Beatles smoked and meditated. There are big doubts about the last fact. But the rest is all true. And the landscape, and the lake, and beauty.

On the beach there is a cafe, several bungalows and a small market.

The sea is different - when there are big waves, and when it is calm and calm.

Arambol – the beach of yogis who are enlightened and have found themselves

The most controversial beach in North Goa is Arambol. The first time I came to Goa, I fell in love with Arambol. The last time he disappointed me.

As for the beach and sea itself, Arambol is incredibly beautiful. A long and wide sandy beach, a long descent into the sea, the blue color of the water merging with the sky - it will take your breath away.

In the village of Arambol there are many shops, guest houses, hotels, cafes and restaurants. Prices for everything are higher than the average for North Goa.

Arambol is good for families with children - the sea is beautiful, there is infrastructure, hangouts for mothers and babies, and even sour cream in stores.

Arambol is good for those who like to travel to the astral plane using special means. It’s easy to find a party and everything else there.

Arambol is good for creative people, for yogis, for those who are looking for themselves.

Mandrem - the beach of glamorous scumbags

Mandrem goes after Arambol. The same sea and the same beach line. In Mandrem, real hotels and fancy restaurants have been built. There you can even meet people in white pants and hats.

Prices in Mandrem are no lower than in Arambol. Many Russians. Few European pensioners. Quiet, calm, impressive.

Ashvem - the most beautiful beach in North Goa

It is impossible to describe in words why Ashvem is better than neighboring beaches. But it is definitely different from other beaches in North Goa. Either the air there is different, or the wind, or the current brings mysticism and the desire to fly. There are few sheks and bungalows on the beach itself. And that’s probably why the slightly deserted Ashwema beach is fascinating.

My favorite place in North Goa by far.

Morjim - the most show-off and expensive beach

Russian village and all that. There, the cult director Pyotr Buslov came up with the idea of making a film “Motherland” about Russians in Goa. Buslov lived in Goa, in Morjim, for several seasons, so he studied the theme of the film very well.

The sea in Morjim is like in Arambol. There are a lot of party places, a lot of guest houses and a lot of Russians.

Vagator – beach of Shiva and sacred cows

The second beach in my personal top of North Goa beaches. Moreover, Vagator and Ashvem are almost on the same level. Although the beaches are different in appearance.

Black stones scattered in disarray along the beach create a fantastic landscape. Cows love this place too. Also, be sure to find the famous face of Shiva on Vagator.

Anjuna - the beach of the last hippies

Anjuna is a favorite place for partygoers, young and not so young. This is where the famous market days take place, with the Flea Market open on Wednesdays. Here, by the sea, songs ring from coastal cafes, here they break away and forget all the sorrows and hardships of their cold homeland.

I don’t like the sea in Anjuna - there are a lot of stones, some kind of algae. But you can find a place to swim if you wish.

Baga - the most civilized beach in North Goa

Baga is a village for glamorous holidaymakers, lovers of nightclubs and expensive cafes. Prices are the highest in all of North Goa.

The beach is different from the beaches of Arambol or Mandrem. The sand here is yellow, the sea is deep. In Baga, on one side of the beach there is a cape and a river along the cape. Thanks to this cape, there are almost no big waves in Baga. Swimming is convenient and fun, even when there are huge waves in neighboring Calangute and Candolim.

Calangute - the most visited beach in North Goa

Calangute never sleeps! It's fun, party-like and relaxed at the same time. This is the favorite beach of European pensioners. There are also enough of our packagers here. Among independent tourists, Calangute is not particularly popular.

Calangute has the most shops, supermarkets, cafes, expensive hotels and cheap guest houses.

The sea is deep almost immediately, the sand on the beach is yellow and loose.

Candolim - the most convenient beach

Candolim is similar to Calangute. The same beach line, the same sea, the same guests, the same pensioners. There are no problems in choosing accommodation, renting a bike, local street food, pizza or burger, Tibetan cuisine, or pharmacies. Internet in Candolim and Calangute is the best among all places in North Goa.

Sinquerim – a beach with history

Which North Goa beach is suitable for families with children?

  1. Arambol
  2. Candolim
  3. Morjim
  4. Mandrem

Because there is a good safe beach, shallow sea, there are shops with the usual products and cafes with a Russian menu. It's easy to find friends for yourself and your child.

Which beach in North Goa should an organized tourist stay on?

  1. Vagator
  2. Calangute
  3. Candolim

Because there are many tour agencies, supermarkets, pharmacies, taxis, restaurants, casinos and decent hotels.

And lastly, even if you stay on one beach for the entire vacation, take a ride along the rest of the beaches of North Goa. This is the only way to find your beach and your favorite place.

You can book a hotel in Goa either on site or online. Booking is full of hotels and guest houses.

Flights to Goa

And if you have not yet decided on tickets to Goa, look at the table for the cheapest fares for regular flights to Goa.

You are absolutely right that the north of Goa is the place you need to relax, because for a long time it has been considered the center of perhaps the most “unhinged” and noisy youth parties on the island. In fact, in this area, all the beaches resemble huge zones, which are completely dotted with a large number of budget three-star hotels. Therefore, a holiday in the north of Goa is economical, very fun and noisy. Young people constantly flock here on vacation not only from Russia, but also from Germany and England.

The most attractive beaches in the north of Goa include three - Anjuna, Arambol and Calangute. Anjuna, for example, cannot be called a perfectly clean beach, but it has a very rich club life. It attracts active travelers with its sea of alcohol, entertainment and dancing. Previously, hippies lived in large numbers in this area, which undoubtedly left a corresponding imprint on its unique atmosphere. Every week on Wednesdays there is a flea market where you can buy anything you want.

The most popular hotels on this beach among young people are:

CASA ANJUNA 4* (BOUTIQUE) is a good and small boutique hotel, which is located right in the center of nightlife. Each hotel room has its own unique design. The sandy beach is 200 meters from the hotel.

LA OASIS 3* is an excellent option for a youth party holiday. It was opened relatively recently - in 2009. Since the hotel is located right on the main street, the distance to the beach is decent - 1 kilometer, and a transfer is not provided here.

DON JOAO RESORT 2+* is an excellent option for an economical holiday. Here also the beach is 1 kilometer from the hotel. But the famous Nine bar and the Cubana nightclub are literally nearby. The hotel itself was built in Portuguese style and consists of three-story buildings.

The easiest way to get to this beach is from Mapusa, a nearby town that can be reached by regular train transport. Well, then you can take a bus or hire a taxi. But the easiest and smartest thing to do is to rent a scooter, the rental of which is quite inexpensive here, but then you will have a great opportunity to travel on them along the entire coast.

The next most popular beach in Goa is Arambol Beach. Unlike the previous one, it is cleaner and more well-groomed. And it is mostly intended for a calm, leisurely and measured rest. Its length is 16 kilometers. The beach is uneven as it is pebbly in some places and sandy in others.

You should also not relax here with children, because here you can often find naked hippies smeared in mud. The closest major city to the beach is Panaja. To get there, you must first fly to Dabolim airport by plane, and then pay about a thousand rupees and take a taxi to Arambol. You can get there a little cheaper (for 400 rupees) from Vagator.

Another very good resort in northern Goa is Calangute. The tourism infrastructure there is very well developed. However, a huge disadvantage of this beach can be considered the large influx of vacationers, especially in winter. There are so many of them that the sun loungers here can literally stand right next to each other. Many people come to Calangute specifically to go shopping here; here you can buy almost everything at bargain prices.
It is located in close proximity to bars, restaurants and shops. Built in Portuguese style and consists of one two-story building. It is separated from the municipal beach by 300 meters.

CASA DE GOA 3* is an excellent hotel designed for active youth recreation. It has its own sandy beach, located 250 meters from the hotel.

HORIZON 3* - intended exclusively for youth recreation. Located on the second coastline, 800 meters from the sea.

NIZMAR 3* is a small cozy hotel with good service. Suitable for active youth recreation. The distance to the sandy municipal beach is 800 meters.

SVELTON MANOR 3+* - the hotel was built relatively recently (in 2006), nearby there is a supermarket, restaurants and bars. Also suitable for active youth recreation. The sandy beach is located 500 meters from the hotel.

GOAN HERITAGE 3+ * - this hotel is located in a very lively area close to noisy nightlife, cafes and bars. The sandy beach is only 100 meters away from the hotel.

PARADISE VILLAGE 3+* - this hotel is located almost in the center of Calangute. Excellent for youth recreation, and the municipal beach is located very close to the hotel - at a distance of 200 meters.

Also a good choice for active youth recreation would be the NEELAMS THE GRAND 3*+ and SOMY RESORT 2* hotels.

There is a very clear division: if you want a calm and respectable holiday, go to the south of Goa, and if you crave entertainment, new existential impressions, and are also unpretentious in everyday life and like to save money, go to North Goa. This piece of paradise was opened to the world by hippies in the 70s - then their refuge was Anjuna Beach. Even the legendary Liverpool four, the Beatles, contemplated sunsets here and sank into shanty on the ocean shore.

The administrative center of North Goa is the city of Mapusa. The name Goa itself comes from the Sanskrit Govarashtra, which means “land of shepherds”. It is not surprising that the hallmark of this place is the peaceful cows on the beaches. Fans of North Goa will tell you about the incredible energy of this part of the coast, the spirit of freedom, the opportunity to have a blast and succeed in finding yourself. Opponents (of whom there are also many) will talk about poverty, loose morals and unsanitary conditions. Both are right - from their own points of view. One thing is certain: Goa is truly an amazing place, and to get your own idea of it, you need to visit it yourself at least once.

How to get to North Goa

The most convenient way to get to North Goa is by air. Both direct and connecting flights fly there from Moscow, St. Petersburg and other major Russian cities. The cheapest direct flight, if you buy a ticket a couple of months in advance, costs 398 USD per person round trip - operated by Rossiya Airlines from Sheremetyevo. Flight duration is 7 hours. Prices on the page are as of September 2018.

It should be taken into account that the time difference between Moscow and Goa is 2.5 hours.

Qatar Airlines, Emirates, Air India and other airlines fly with transfers from Moscow Domodedovo, Sheremetyevo and Vnukovo. Prices for connecting flights range from 400-518 USD. Travel time with transfers is 10-18 hours. All flights land at Dabolim Airport, the main and only air hub of Goa.

From airport to resort

There are two ways to get from Dabolim Airport to the North Goa coast: by taxi or public transport. A taxi can be ordered upon arrival at the airport at the appropriate counter; there is also a stand with approximate prices to a specific resort. But you need to agree on the final cost of the trip with the driver in advance; you can haggle a little - this is encouraged here. A taxi ride will cost an average of 2300 INR.

You can save money by using public transport. Then the path from the airport to North Goa is divided into 3 stages: get from the airport to the nearest town of Vasco da Gama by autorickshaw (60 INR); from Vasco da Gama there is a bus to the capital of Goa - Panaji (83 INR); from Panaji you can take a bus to Mapusa - another 70 INR. And then you can rent a bike, scooter or take an autorickshaw to the coast.

Resorts of North Goa

From North Goa you can get to the ruins of the ancient city of Hampi by booking an excursion, or on your own using a “slipper bus” (a bus with sleepers that follows the Goa - Hospet route). This ancient UNESCO World Heritage Site is located in the neighboring state of Karnataka. The most grandiose building that has survived here is the Virupaksha Temple, dedicated to Shiva.

Wildlife lovers should visit the Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary (named after the famous Indian ornithologist), located on the small island of Chorao. This pristine, mangrove-forested islet is home to dozens of different species of birds. You can get there by ferry, and to get to the most inaccessible places, we recommend renting a motor boat on site.

5 things to do in North Goa

  1. Enjoy the sunset on the beach.
  2. Ride a tuk-tuk or scooter.
  3. Do yoga on the beach - at least do the Sun Salutation asana.
  4. Eat freshly caught seafood at a beach shack - order, for example, grilled shark!
  5. Wander around local markets and bargain to your heart's content.

Trans-parties and parties in North Goa

In terms of leisure, Goa is famous primarily for its trance parties - club parties with a local psychedelic flavor. Some of the most popular clubs include Hilltop and 9Bar in Vagator, Curlie’s and Shiva Valley in Anjuna and West End Club in Saligao.

Hilltop is the place for the biggest and coolest parties: powerful sound, large space under the canopy of fluorescent palm trees and only 60-70 INR for entry. Parties are usually held on Sundays (but sometimes on Fridays and Saturdays), from 16:00 to 22:00.

9Bar is a cult place for hippie pioneers, who once opened Goa to the general public, and today visit places of military glory in the company of their offspring. Party hours are from 17:00 to 22:00.

Fashionable parties, cozy chill-out and delicious food - all this is Curlie’s in the southern part of Anjuna Beach. As a rule, the whole crowd gathers here, as well as in Shiva Valley on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The fun ends around 22:00.

But the West End welcomes the public from 20:00 until the morning. The trance here can be classified as “severe”, so this is a place for hardy connoisseurs rather than for the loitering public. And the entrance is not cheap by local standards: 800 INR.

Weather

North Goa (as well as South Goa) has a subtropical climate. The average daily temperature fluctuates around +30...+35 °C. The water temperature in the Indian Ocean does not drop below +26 °C. And yet, it is not pleasant to relax in this corner of paradise all year round: from June to September the monsoons begin to blow, and the rainy season begins. In July and August it rains here almost continuously for several days. The best time to travel to Goa is from November to March. Tourists from Russia need to take into account that there is very high solar activity here and use sunscreen.

Goa is not an island, but an Indian state. Its main wealth is 100 kilometers of beaches on the shores of the warm Arabian Sea. They have not yet been developed, so you can find completely deserted corners here.

The state is divided into two parts - North and South Goa. Two-week tourists often choose the southern part of the state because of its good hotels and pretty beaches. Winterers prefer to settle in the north - there is a lot of long-term housing for rent and better infrastructure. Today I’ll tell you about the villages and beaches of North Goa.

I’ll say right away that in Goa there will be no such Bounty beaches as on or. White sand and azure water that merges with the bright blue sky on the horizon - this is not about the Indian coast. Yes, the beaches in Goa are beautiful, but they are still far from the paradise islands in neighboring countries. Nevertheless, it is pleasant to relax in Goa, and there are many reasons to choose this particular resort for a vacation or winter stay. Firstly, it’s cheaper here than in Thailand, and secondly, Goan beaches have their own special atmosphere and flavor. Once you feel them, you will definitely want to return to Goa again.

Arambol

We lived in the northern part of Goa - in the village of Arambol. This is truly a village, not at all like a small town.

There are many two- and three-story houses built very close to each other. Pigs and cows graze in the courtyards, chickens run around, and sometimes monkeys come to eat ripe coconuts.

Arambol is considered the most interesting place in North Goa because of the nightly Sunset show. A couple of dozen musicians come to watch the sunset. They beat out the rhythm on the drums, and people dance to these simple melodies right on the beach. Sometimes there are fire shows.

Every evening, a flea market gathers near Sunset, where Europeans sell jewelry and clothes made with their own hands. If you are doing something similar yourself and are looking for inspiration, Arambol is a great place to get it.

In addition, an interesting crowd gathers in Arambol. Our neighbor, for example, is a shaman grandfather from Australia. And the guys I know practice Ericksonian hypnosis and study the influence of Qi energy on the body. Sasha says that if you are “lost” in Russia or Ukraine and don’t know how to live further, go to Arambol. Here they will put a dozen ideas into your head and tell you the meaning of life.

Yoga, enlightenment, the path to yourself, meditation, Mandala dancing, singing bowls and holotropic breathing, Qigong gymnastics, raw food and therapeutic fasting... If all this is not interesting to you, then you can spend time in Arambol in a more prosaic way. In the morning, go to the sea, have lunch in one of the sheks, dance on the Sunset in the evening, and then crash into some coastal restaurant for a live music concert.

All this will not require a lot of money. Prices in Arambol are lower than in other Goan villages. Low prices for food and drinks in sheki here allow you to not cook at home at all. Having breakfast, lunch and dinner in a cafe, we rarely spent more than 1000 rupees ($16) a day for three.

Behind the Arambol rock there is another beautiful beach - Kalacha Beach. Behind it is a freshwater lake and a banyan tree in the jungle, near which, according to legend, the Beatles meditated many years ago.

There are several posts about Arambol and Kalacha:

Kerim (Querim, Keri)

Arambol is not the northernmost village in Goa. There is also Kirim - the beach farthest from Dabolim airport, and therefore the least crowded. Instead of palm trees, there is a pine grove at the edge of the sea. The infrastructure here is not as developed as in neighboring Arambol, but there are a couple of sheks and inexpensive housing to choose from.

From Kerim to Arambol it is only a 20-minute bike ride, so finding entertainment in the evening is not a problem. In addition, very close to Kerim - a 15-minute drive - is the most beautiful and deserted beach in the area - although it is already in the neighboring state of Maharashtra.

According to my forecasts, in two or three years Kerim will become the same party place as other villages, so if you like to relax alone, you need to seize the moment.

Ashvem and Mandrem

Beautiful beaches north of Dabolim airport but south of Arambol. Wide, spacious, with a minimum number of people. If you want privacy and tranquility, you need to choose Ashvem and Mandrem.

There are not as many beach vendors here as in Arambol, so time on the beach is quieter.

In Ashvem and Mandrem there are luxury houses right on the seashore and more budget accommodation in the villages.

Morjim

Morjim is located right in the center of North Goa. From here it's a stone's throw to all the villages. The ideal location and beautiful beach have made Morjim a favorite place for Russian winterers.

I can’t say that there are more of them here than in the no less Russian Arambol, but the people here are much more wealthy. Renting housing is more expensive than in other villages. And now, during the crisis, many houses are empty. Prices in restaurants are also 30 percent higher than in Arambol. Cold drinks in sheki on the beach from 100 rupees ($1.6), dishes with chicken 250-280 ($4-4.5).

Near Morjim, the Chapora River flows into the sea, and many guidebooks write that turtles come here to lay eggs during certain months. But old-timers say that turtles have not been seen in Morjim since childhood and all these are just tales for tourists. Didn't see the turtle? You just arrived in the wrong month.

If you are in Morjim, be sure to go to the northernmost edge of the beach - to the stones. There are very unusual trees growing there, which I identified as aloe. Alternatively, you can simply wander around the rocks and watch the numerous crabs.

Siolim

Siolim is a village not on the seashore, but 10 minutes away by bike. Budget accommodation for those who spend more time working in Goa than sunbathing on the beach. Siolim has a gorgeous morning fish market - the largest in the area. And our favorite one is located there, where they prepare inexpensive but very tasty juices, and also fry medium-sized lemonfish for only 100 rupees apiece.

Chapora and Vagator

The border between these two villages is not so easy to find. Here, it seems to be famous, but just a five-minute drive from it is Vagator Beach.

There is a very interesting ancient dilapidated fort in Chapora. And there would be nothing unusual in those walls of the fortress if not for their location. stands on a high mountain and from it you can clearly see the beaches of Morjim, Vagator, and the Chapora River.

In Vagator the beach is very unusual, rocky, with many cows. I wrote a separate post about him, which contains three dozen photographs.

A stunning place for relaxation and photo shoots. Don’t forget to look for Shiva’s face in the stones, which was carved into stone here by a European sculptor

Anjuna

When we were just going to Goa and looking for a place to live, Anjuna was one of the options. At first glance, this is a great place to live. Judge for yourself, it is the closest to the airport of all the villages listed above. Good infrastructure, because in Anjuna there are supermarkets (it was in Anjuna that I bought) with European food. Proximity to Mapsa - the main city of North Goa, where there is a large market and a bunch of shops. Among other things, every Wednesday traders from all over Goa come to Anjuna for the Flea Market - a weekly fair. This is a very interesting place where you can just walk for hours, looking at unusual wood crafts, jewelry, embroidery and outfits.

Baga, Calangute and Candolim

I have not met people who would choose Baga, Calangute or Candolim as a wintering destination. These are resorts from a different story. Expensive hotels, restaurants, a lot of tourists and a whole bunch of shops. These villages are more suitable for package tourists who, back in their homeland, paid for a hotel with breakfast or even dinner.

Arambol - the pearl of North Goa

Perhaps the most popular place in North Goa, and indeed all of Goa in general, is Arambol. And for good reason.

Some places in North Goa are quite crowded. On Arambol beach that’s for sure

From the very beginning of the hippie culture, “flower children” began to arrive in this small town. Firstly, prices are low here. Of course, this is a relative characteristic, but if we take into account the resorts of other countries, then in Goa it is really very cheap. A large plate of thali, a traditional Indian dish, can be found for 60-120 rupees, that's 1-2 dollars. In beach restaurants, prices are slightly higher; a full lunch will cost $5. Coconut costs $0.5, papaya juice - $1.

See Arambol beach from an unusual angle and take a selfie? Any whim!..

Secondly, freedom of expression reigns here. You can dress whatever you want, dance, sing, scream, talk to strangers and be creative. Thirdly, Arambol is crowded with parties, events, festivals and various practices during the high season. You won't be bored.

You won't be bored in India. There are tips on how to spend your time profitably on the bulletin board

Arambol beach is very lively, especially as the day approaches sunset. The so-called “sunset” is a daily holiday that hundreds of people come out to greet. Rare cases when the sun sets below the horizon and touches the sea line with its contour are called a “touchdown”. People applaud and thank the gods for another happy day.

This stunning sunset is worth seeing at least once in your life. Set course for Arambol

After sunset, a drum circle forms, which with darkness develops into a lively dance. Every day a spontaneous market is built on this North Goa beach. Talented handicraftsmen offer all sorts of goods for sale, from ethnic clothing to musical instruments. It should be noted that these “handmade” items are of quite high quality and very rare. Many of the sellers are famous all over the world. Therefore, it can become very successful.

Here you can buy a musical instrument and immediately play it

In the morning, Arambol beach looks more like a playground for sports and yoga. From dawn you can meet dozens of people doing their physical training here. Later in the day, when the heat sets in, this North Goa beach turns into a resort town with sun loungers, cafes, barkers and Indian jewelry vendors.

This North Goa beach is so long that you can find a secluded spot

Arambol is far from the quietest and most deserted beach in North Goa. However, thanks to the cleanliness, shallow water and lack of waves, it is very safe and pleasant. And the multi-kilometer duration allows you to choose a place remote from people. Arambol beach is not considered the “Russian” beach of Goa; there are a lot of foreigners here.

Mandrem Beach is good for families with children

In second place among the beaches of North Goa is Mandrem. It is shorter in duration, quieter and calmer. It is also shallow here, so it is popular among mothers with small children.

The shallow Mandrem beach is chosen by families with children

North Goa's Mandrem beach is popular with glamorous tourists, while Arambol is a hippie paradise.

One of the beautiful places in North Goa - Mandrem - awaiting travelers

Kerim Beach - a quiet place away from the hustle and bustle

In third place is Kerim Beach. There is a small forest adjacent to it, where it is convenient to park your bike and rest in the shade. The beach itself is only a few kilometers long. There are cafes where you can have a drink. There are also sun loungers here, but there are no bungalows - you will have to return to the village to spend the night.

Beautiful, calm and uncrowded - that’s why tourists choose Kerim

Kerim or Keri - this North Goa beach is pleasant because the road to it takes only 20-30 minutes from Arambol, but the crowded and rich atmosphere immediately gives way to calm and awe.

This beach has everything you need for a complete holiday

The most Russian beach of North Goa - Morjim

Next comes Morjim. This beach can truly be called the Russian beach of Goa. Signs are in Russian, menus in restaurants are in Russian, many Indians have learned spoken Russian in order to interact with Russian-speaking tourists. But mostly.

The absence of a language barrier on Morjim beach attracts tourists from Russia

Older people relax here. There are almost no hippies, informals or yogis here. Instead - calm and silence. They attract those who have flown to North Goa for 1-2 weeks. White sand, smooth entry into the water and cleanliness of the beach are the key to the popularity of Morjim.

Morjim is a clean beach where you won’t meet informals

Candolim - a quiet abode of foreign tourists

Also a few words about Candolim beach. This beach in North Goa is considered one of the calmest and quietest. There is everything for a relaxing holiday - food, sun loungers, bungalows just beyond the beach line for an overnight stay near the sea, convenient parking and a long distance. On the Candolim beach you can hide from Russian tourists. Close to famous attractions of Goa.

The sacred animals of India also enjoy Candolim

The most deserted beach in North Goa - Ashvem

Ashvem completes the list of the best beaches in Goa in India. One of the most deserted and clean beaches. The wide coastline, convenient and unobstructed entry into the sea, abundant vegetation, volcanic rocks and the absence of annoying sellers are ideal for a romantic getaway for two.

Those who like to meditate in silence in a beautiful place will appreciate Ashvem

There are no cafes or bungalows on the “first line”. This is convenient for those who do not like crowds and excitement, but will not appeal to those who want to refresh themselves and spend the night without leaving the beach. It's better to stock up on fruits, snacks and water in advance.

Ashvem Beach - the most secluded place in North Goa

North Goa and its beaches are always waiting for tourists

Almost all the beaches of North Goa are connected to each other, and some border each other. For example, you can walk from Arambol to Mandrem beach. This happened because the state of Goa is small, and North Goa is even smaller. Upon arrival, we recommend renting a scooter and visiting each of the beaches on your own. This way you can find your favorite one. He will definitely appear.

North Goa will forever remain in the hearts of tourists
