In what ways and how quickly can you get from Prague to Paris? How to get from Paris to Prague How to get from Prague to Paris

A trip to Prague last spring was my first trip to Europe. Having enjoyed the cityscapes of the Czech capital, I decided not to miss my chance and fulfill my lifelong dream - to visit Paris. But for a dream to become a reality, you must first get there. But…

How to get from Prague to Paris?

By plane

Despite the fact that we like to joke about the small size of Europe, there is still a decent distance between some cities (including Prague and Paris). In this case, I had to cover more than 1,000 km. I didn’t want to be stuck on a bus all day, so I tried to find cheap flight options.

Fortunately, I succeeded and found a ticket for 54 euros one way, 125 round trip. Surprised that buying two tickets at once was more expensive, I did the purely Russian thing - I bought tickets separately, and it turned out to be 15 euros cheaper. Flights fly every day.

To buy tickets for such a flight, enter Prague - Paris low-cost flight into the search engine, and the machine will give you suitable options. It is necessary to remember that on flights of this type you can take luggage not exceeding 10 kg. Also, don't expect lunch/dinner. It won’t be difficult to do without this, since the flight will only take 2 hours.

By bus

If you want to enjoy the scenery of Europe, you can do it from the bus window. Student Agency flights operate only on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. With departure at 23:00 and arrival at 13:05. This time is convenient for those whose financial and time resources are limited.

By purchasing a ticket for this flight, you will kill two birds with one stone - you will pay for both the ticket and the overnight stay. Sleeping while sitting is, of course, not comfortable for everyone, but then there will be something to tell. This method is especially suitable for young people.

You can buy tickets at the station (although this is risky, since there may not be any at the box office) or on the website. Now I’ll try to explain how this can be done on the website

  • On the right side, enter the points of departure and arrival, the date of travel and the age of the traveler.
  • Select a suitable flight. By pressing the blue I button, you will receive all the information you need about your upcoming trip.

Another good thing about the bus is that it is a direct flight, which makes traveling much easier.

If you have one of these documents (EYCA - European Youth Discount Card or ISIC Internationally Recognized Student ID), then tickets will be even cheaper.

Price

Tickets cost 39 euros. It is profitable to buy round-trip tickets, since in this case the return ticket costs a euro cheaper.

  • After choosing a flight, click the “purchase” button and select seats.
  • In the lower right corner there will be a button “continue to summary” (continue), and do not forget to tick the consent to the processing of personal data (shown in red).
  • We fill in information about passengers and pay for the purchase.

Departure

All Student Agency buses leave from Prague's central bus station ÚAN Florenc Praha (at Křižíkova 6, Praha 8, near Florenc metro station (line B/C)). Your platform is number 1.

Buses

The cars, I must say, from this company are excellent - with wi-fi, a toilet, a personal media system. And the seats are quite comfortable, soft, and there is enough space.

Arrival

In France you arrive at Paris, Rue du Faubourg St. station. Martin (near Château Landon station). From there, either by metro or by car, you can get to both the center and the periphery.

By train

There is no direct flight from Prague to Paris; you will have to make at least three transfers. In addition, train tickets, especially within Germany, are very expensive, in general the price will be about 14,000 rubles, and it will take quite a lot of time - 12-13 hours. By the way, you should also take into account the fact that trains in Germany are very often late. The locals have long been accustomed to this, but I don’t think you’ll want to be in a similar situation.

In general, we can say that the best options are plane and bus. The first one is 6 times faster, and the second one is 10-20 euros cheaper. Considering that 10 euros was not such a big amount, I chose a plane and did not regret it.

This beautiful and romantic city can be visited if you purchase a ready-made excursion program, among them the most popular are combined tours: Prague-Paris, Paris-Prague-Vienna, Prague-Rome-Paris, Prague-Paris-Amsterdam, Prague-Paris-Berlin- Warsaw, Berlin-Amsterdam-Paris-Prague and Prague-Paris-Luxembourg.

But there are other options. You can get from Prague to Paris and/or vice versa from Paris to Prague on your own. This choice is usually made by tourists who do not want to be tied to a group and want to have more freedom of movement.

Every year the beauty of Prague and Paris attracts a large number of tourists. The cities are amazingly beautiful, they have a large number of world-famous attractions and interesting places. Visiting them is not difficult, hotels in Paris and Prague are easy to book, the main thing is to solve the issue of transport, both from Russia and within Europe, and here some useful information is needed.

We have already given recommendations on how to get from Prague to Dresden, from Prague to Vienna and from Prague to Munich. Now let’s dwell in more detail on the topic of independent travel from Prague to Paris, on how you can get there, fly or drive.

How can you get from Prague to Paris?

The most affordable and comfortable options are plane, train, bus and car. Let's take a closer look at them.

From Prague to Paris by plane

This travel option is convenient and, unlike other domestic European flights, quite competitive in price.

Planes from Prague to Paris fly regularly. There are flights, both with and without a transfer. Moreover, the last option, oddly enough and this is an infrequent case, unlike a direct flight, is more affordable.

It is better to buy tickets for flights between Paris and Prague in advance; it is wiser to do this 3-4 months in advance, then finding a profitable option is quite easy.

Regular flights from Paris to Prague and vice versa are operated by Air France and Czech Airlines; these carriers have quite affordable prices. An alternative is EasyJet and Wizzai flights.

The average price for an air ticket on the Prague-Paris route can be 200-250 euros; from Czech Airlines it can be purchased for 100-110 euros. But if, for example, you book a flight on EasyJet or Wizzair in advance, it will cost only 50.

If you are traveling by air from Prague to Paris or vice versa, then information on how to get to and from Prague airport will be useful.

From Prague to Paris by train

Traveling by train is an interesting and even romantic way to travel between European cities. But if you need to get from Prague to Paris, then the train is not the best option.

There is no direct connection between the cities, so you will have to make at least one transfer (as a rule, most people prefer Berlin or Munich). This is not very convenient and will require a lot of time (the road through Berlin will take almost 18 hours, and through Munich even more), as well as the ability to navigate.

The cost of a train ticket will also not please you, it will be at least 110 euros one way.

Considering all this, traveling from Prague to Paris by train is the least suitable option and it makes sense to consider this option if alternative options are not available.

To Paris from Prague by car

Having your own car or renting a car, driving around Europe is, of course, interesting. But is this always reasonable?

The distance from Prague to Paris is just over 1000 km. And such a trip, if you don’t plan an overnight stay along the way, will be quite tiring.

How can you get from Prague to Paris by car?

From Prague you need to go in the direction of the city of Pilsen, and then through Germany. But, which is a shame for many, the road bypasses almost all major German cities that one would like to visit. The only exception is Nuremberg.

Therefore, if you want to visit various cities in Germany, you will have to deviate from the route, which will increase the mileage and travel time.

It is important to remember that highways are toll roads and you need to allocate quite a significant amount for this.

From Prague to Paris by bus

The most popular travel option is the Prague-Paris bus tour. This method will significantly save both time and money.

Comfortable and well-equipped buses run from Prague to Paris and back, offering the following services: leather seats with seat belts, hot and cold drinks, air conditioning, toilet, electrical outlet (230 V), Wi-Fi access, etc. There are different carrier companies, but the most popular company is EuroLines.

Bus tickets can be purchased both online and at the ticket office of the Florens bus station, which is located at the metro station of the same name (the intersection of the red and yellow lines). It is better to buy a ticket in advance and both ways. The cost of such a trip will be about 100 euros.

Travel time is about 14 hours. In Paris, the bus arrives at the bus station, which is located next to the Gallieni metro station (line 3, final stop).

The bus schedule between Paris and Prague can be checked both on the Internet and on special boards directly at bus stations.

Considering all of the above, it is clear that there are many options for traveling independently on the Prague-Paris route. But considering their advantages and disadvantages, the bus tour makes the most sense.

From Prague to Paris is just over 1000 km. The distance is not small by European standards, so many people prefer to travel it by air. Although there are alternative options, each of which may be good in its own way.

From Prague to Paris by plane

Fast, convenient and not always expensive. Direct flights are operated by the national airlines Czech Airlines and Air France, and there are also flights from Easyjet, Smart Wings and Transavia. The latter's planes land at Orly airport, the rest - at Charles de Gaulle. The flight will take less than 2 hours. The ticket price may vary several times, so it is better to plan your trip in advance. Many carriers offer good discounts when paying for several months. They can reach half the cost of the ticket.

Traveling by rail is not an amateur activity. There are no direct transfers from Prague to Paris. We'll have to do a transplant. Typically in Munich. The transfer itself will take more than 15 hours in total. The prices are hardly surprising - they are significantly higher than bus prices. On average – from 100 euros, depending on the class of carriage.

From Prague to Paris by car

An excellent option for those who want to appreciate the quality of European roads and admire the most beautiful scenery. Most of the route will pass through Germany. However, highways were built to bypass large cities in order to avoid traffic jams. Therefore, when choosing this method of travel, it is better to plan the route in advance and decide where exactly to make the excursion stop. There are toll sections on the roads. It is highly not recommended to evade payment; there is a high risk of running into a large fine.

Two hours on a plane or 14 hours on a bus – each passenger decides independently, focusing on what is more important to him at the moment: time or money. Have a nice trip!
