I have already vacationed in Pattaya and Phuket several times, but this time I decided to combine a beach holiday with Bangkok and look at the capital of Thailand. The largest airport in Southeast Asia greeted me and my husband with its coolness and long corridors. You walk along it and wonder when this passport control will begin. And after going through all these formalities, picking up your luggage and finding yourself on the street, you realize that you are in a real bathhouse, that very Turkish one. The climate is hot and humid. You constantly catch yourself thinking that you want to either take a dip in the cool sea or wash yourself in the shower. The salvation turns out to be a group transfer, a tourist bus with excellent air conditioning. Having settled comfortably inside it, life takes on colors again and you begin to examine with interest what is around. How the local population lives in such a climate is a mystery to me; apparently, you have to be born here.

So, then we are going to check into a hotel in Bangkok. I chose from the proposed options the Adriatic Palace, which is in the city center, a modern multi-storey hotel with comfortable rooms. We only had to stay in this place for 3 days; we wanted not to waste valuable time and see all the most interesting things here and now. But, after such a long flight, it is difficult to satisfy this need. Therefore, we decide to set aside a couple of hours for sleep. By midday he wakes up, we bring ourselves to our senses and decide it’s time to go explore Bangkok, and at the same time satisfy the feeling of hunger that has arisen.

So, Bangkok is a modern metropolis that combines wealth and poverty. Next to rich hotels, business centers, shops, there are real slums, where people live in some kind of makeshift shacks, wash themselves in sewage, and wash their clothes there. Seeing such a spectacle makes you feel hot.

We visited local food markets, looking for something interesting, and most often we encountered fish lying in a mountain on the counter without a refrigerator or ice. The air in such a place was appropriate. Without fear of getting poisoned, the locals happily bargained and bought this fish. These are the miracles. By the way, it’s also a marvelous wonder, you walk along the center of an active street, everything is cooking from everywhere, smoke is a rocker, on transport carts they sell cockroaches, raw, fried, in batter. I didn’t take the risk again, I just looked and was surprised.

But there are a large number of shopping centers in Bangkok. The same type as we have in Russia, or more precisely in Moscow. There, my husband and I, without fear, ate local fast food. Good place for Japanese cuisine Fuji. They prepare very tasty sushi and other dishes here. You can take it without fear, no matter how many times you eat it, you never get poisoned. This is a chain restaurant, it is also available in all resort areas.

When it started to get dark, we decided to climb the observation tower and take some panoramic photos. The tower is the 4* Bayok Sky hotel. A fast elevator takes you upstairs in a matter of seconds and you are already admiring the beauty of Bangkok. Of course, the height is still the same, I won’t say exactly how many meters it is. But it was even scary.

If you want to do a little shopping, I advise you to do it here, and not in the resort area. The night market opens at 23:00. Tell any taxi driver Night market and he will be happy to take you there. Whatever they sell there, the prices are low, and you can still bargain. Here you can buy souvenirs, clothes, Thai robes, T-shirts. I bought a very beautiful dress for $10. My husband really had a hard time putting up with this kind of pastime; it’s definitely more interesting here with a girlfriend.

In the evening, if you wish, you can attend all kinds of erotic show programs. But you won’t be able to get to them from the street. They are not legal. It’s better to ask your guide about this question; he will be able to get you a couple of tickets. And the locals will surprise you with their imagination and resourcefulness. Particularly impressionable people probably shouldn’t go there. The price is 500-800 rubles per person. Drinks are already included, usually Singha beer (very good). The program lasts about an hour, and then everything starts again. You can leave, you can stay - as you want, no one will drive you away.

The next day we got up quite early, had breakfast and waited for our bus, which was supposed to take us to the Royal Palace of Bangkok. It occupies a large area, is very beautiful, and consists of not one temple, but several. It glows golden in the sun, and at the entrance there is a statue of three giant, elegant elephants. It's very hot again. When we arrived and dropped off, half of the tourists ran to rent long skirts and shirts with sleeves; not everyone was dressed appropriately. According to the rules, you cannot enter the palace grounds with bare heels, knees and shoulders. Who forgot, pay 200 rubles and rent outfits. Convenient, but not hygienic.

Having gathered the entire group at the entrance, the guide began a story about when this complex was built, what it consists of, and its affiliation. Overall, the excursion is interesting, but tiring; walking in the heat for 2 hours is difficult. You need to be really interested in this culture, understand what it is and why. I liked everything, their temples are truly a work of art, the aroma of incense floats around. Having taken beautiful pictures, I rushed out. They sell refreshing coconuts, which are broken in front of you with a hatchet and you can immediately enjoy the refreshing coconut milk. By the way, small coconuts are much tastier than large ones.

After the Royal Palace we were taken to the Jewelry Factory. They talked very informatively about how sapphires are mined in Thailand, this is their stone, they call it Siam. Then they go to the factory and you can see in real time how jewelers make all these jewelry. Each stage is separate. Well, as always and everywhere, in the end you can buy something as a souvenir. The most inexpensive thing here is a string of pearls, and gold jewelry all costs from $200 and up. Therefore, when flying to Thailand, you need to include them in your budget from the beginning. My husband and I did not plan to make such purchases, so we waited for the others in the cafe, where they poured drinks and ice cream for free. This is where the program ended.

Our guide also offered a dinner excursion on a boat along the canals of Bangkok, but my husband and I refused, since walking along these same canals we were not delighted with the smell. And they could hardly imagine dinner next to the canals.

The next day we packed our suitcases and a mini bus took us back to the airport for our flight to Phuket. What can I say, Bangkok is worth seeing, but there is nothing to do here for more than 3 days. To feel the local flavor, the real Thailand, this is what the capital gives tourists.

And having arrived on the island, this flavor already disappears. Beautiful hotels, restaurants, crowds of tourists. Excellent for relaxation, no doubt. But this is a completely different Thailand.

Consent to the processing of personal data

I hereby, being the Customer of tourist services included in the tourism product, and the authorized representative of the persons (tourists) specified in the Application, give consent to the Agent and his authorized representatives to process my data and the data of persons (tourists) contained in the Application: last name, name, patronymic, date and place of birth, gender, citizenship, series, passport number, other passport data indicated in the passport; residence and registration address; home and mobile phone; E-mail address; as well as any other data relating to my identity and the identity of the persons specified in the Application, to the extent necessary for the implementation and provision of tourism services, including those included in the tourism product generated by the Tour Operator, for any action (operation) or set of actions ( operations) performed with my personal data and the data of the persons specified in the Application, including (without limitation) collection, recording, systematization, accumulation, storage, clarification (updating, changing), extraction, use, transfer (distribution, provision, access), depersonalization, blocking, deletion, destruction of personal data, as well as the implementation of any other actions provided for by the current legislation of the Russian Federation, using automation tools, including in information and telecommunication networks, or without the use of such means, if the processing of personal data without the use of such means corresponds to the nature of the actions (operations) performed with personal data using automation tools, that is, it allows, in accordance with a given algorithm, a search for personal data recorded on a tangible medium and contained in file cabinets or other systematized collections of personal data, and/or access to such personal data, as well as the transfer (including cross-border) of this personal data to the Tour Operator and third parties - partners of the Agent and the Tour Operator.

The processing of personal data is carried out by the Agent and his authorized representatives (Tour Operator and direct service providers) for the purpose of fulfilling this agreement (including, depending on the terms of the agreement - for the purpose of issuing travel documents, booking rooms in accommodation facilities and with carriers, transferring data to consulate of a foreign state, resolving claim issues when they arise, submitting information to authorized government bodies (including at the request of courts and internal affairs bodies)).

I hereby confirm that the personal data provided by me to the Agent is reliable and can be processed by the Agent and his authorized representatives.

I hereby give my consent to the Agent and Tour Operator to send me emails/information messages to the email address and/or mobile phone number I have provided.

I hereby confirm that I have the authority to provide personal data of the persons specified in the Application, and undertake the obligation to reimburse the Agent for any costs associated with my lack of appropriate authority, including losses associated with sanctions of inspection authorities.

I agree that the text of my consent to the processing of personal data, given by me of my own free will, in my interests and in the interests of the persons specified in the Application, is stored electronically in a database and/or on paper and confirms the fact of consent to process and transfer personal data in accordance with the above provisions and take responsibility for the accuracy of the provision of personal data.

This consent is given for an indefinite period and can be withdrawn by me at any time, and insofar as it concerns a specific person, the subject of personal data specified in the Application, by the specified person by sending a written notice to the Agent by mail.

I hereby confirm that my rights as a subject of personal data have been explained to me by the Agent and are clear to me.
