Unparalleled foros. Rest in Foros on the Black Sea in Crimea. Entertainment and attractions

Foros is the southernmost point of Crimea, and its location is truly unique - we are located between Yalta and Sevastopol, which means that if our guests want to get to these two famous cities, the travel time will only take about half an hour. The pride of our sanatorium is the Foros Park with an area of more than 70 hectares, founded in 1834. Today, the park is home to more than 300 species of plants brought from all over the world. In terms of the variety of unusual plants, the park competes with the Nikitsky Botanical Garden, and in the beauty of the landscape composition - with the park of the Alupka Palace of Count Vorontsov. The park is our pride, so we closely monitor its condition. More recently, we have added a new service to our guests - an introductory tour of the park in an electric car and a walking tour of the park; these services are provided by our employees who love Foros Park and are actively working to improve it. In recent years, the sanatorium has been transformed. Now “Foros Wellness&Park” is a premium-class sanatorium with a successful combination of four elements: a climatic health resort, a luxurious park area, a modern diagnostic and treatment facility and a unique natural landscape. We are located away from the noisy highways, in the most beautiful and largest complex of landscape architecture, mountains and the purest azure coast, our beach is our pride! Health-improving medical programs and sanatorium-resort treatment are carried out using innovative high-tech equipment, which has no analogues in Crimea. We are the only sanatorium in Crimea operating according to Halal standards. Another highlight of ours is Metatron. “Metatron” is a new generation hardware and software complex that has no analogues in Crimea. For the convenience of our guests at Foros Wellness&Park you can quickly go through a full “Check-up”. This is a program for early diagnosis of diseases, which includes a full range of tests and studies that will allow you to see the state of your health. According to the recommendations of the World Health Organization, such a medical examination must be done every year. The process of reinnovation of the sanatorium’s infrastructure has been going on for several years now. Health and sports infrastructure facilities have been put into operation on the territory: an indoor swimming pool with heated sea water (so we are ready to receive guests all year round), a spa center, a gym, a sports hall, a billiards room, a children's room, a children's playground, restaurants and many other useful recreational structures. Our accommodation facility includes 223 rooms in the Main building and 13 rooms in Pribrezhny. Each room corresponds to a 4* category, there is nothing superfluous in the design - everything is tasteful! We welcome guests all year round. Come, we are glad to see everyone!

The Crimean village of Foros is not located in the most interesting area of the South Coast - exactly in the middle between Sevastopol and Yalta. And the drive from it to these iconic cities of Crimea is just over an hour, and transport there is not the most common pleasure. There is not much to do in the village itself and there are almost no bright tourist spots. In other words - the wilderness.

But the history of this wilderness is not the most boring! It was at the Frosskaya dacha that Brezhnev stayed during the August putsch, and the famous sanatorium for Soviet cosmonauts was also located there. And Yuri Gagarin himself rested at one of the dachas after his space flight. It's no joke!

But now Foros is a quiet, calm, somewhat provincial place, where the Soviet Union still breathes. There are no parties, noisy clubs, places of tourist pilgrimage or other social life to be found there. Even climbers do not settle in it, although the Forossky Kant rock massif, which is located much higher than the village, is for climbers.

In general, you should go there only if you want to take a break from crowds of people, noise and the frantic rhythm of the city. In those moments when you just need to go to the depths of the world and not see or hear anyone, and live a quiet, simple life with minimal signs of civilization.

When I arrived there, I was a little taken aback by the stagnation, emptiness, lack of signs of vigorous activity and silence. I was just in a non-Foros state at the time. But in moments when I wanted to be alone with myself and my thoughts, with full confidence that no one and nothing would distract me, I, dripping with saliva, remembered Foros and dreamed of being there. Away from the noisy tourist crowds and bustle. In general, this place is for a certain state of mind.

How to get there

Foros is located on the Crimean Peninsula, which can be reached by all means known to us: on foot, by bicycle, by boat and even on horseback. And of course, by car, bus, train and plane.

By plane

There is only one civil airport in Crimea, in Simferopol - SIMFEROPOL International Airport. There is a military airfield in Sevastopol, but planes full of tourists, unfortunately, do not fly there. But you can fly to almost all leading airlines. There are on average 5–7 flights a day from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg and other cities with a population of over a million, and if you take care of tickets in advance, they will be quite cheap: about 7,000 rubles. You can search for tickets for convenient dates on well-known search engine services, and it is convenient to compare prices from different sellers. The travel time will be about 3 hours, so this is the best option.

Path from the airport

Taxi

As at every airport, you will be greeted here by friendly but greedy taxi drivers. A trip from Simferopol to Foros, including luggage, will cost around 3,000 rubles. The journey will take about an hour.

Bus/trolleybus

For fans of public transport, there are several options for the development of events. In any case, you need to go with a transfer in Yalta.

If you want to take a leisurely ride along the South Coast Highway, stopping at every stop and enjoying the mountain and sea views, then you can use trolleybus No. 55, following the route: airport -. The cost of such a trip is 100 rubles, duration is about 2.5 hours. These trolleybuses run rarely, but on any other city trolley you can get from the airport to the railway station, and from where trolleybuses No. 52 and other buses go towards Yalta every 20 minutes. Also, Yalta can be reached by buses and minibuses that go to Yalta and depart from the airport every half hour. They do not have specific route numbers; they simply have a sign on the windshield indicating their destination. Travel time is about 2 hours, cost is 150 rubles.

The bus station, from where trolleybuses and minibuses depart, is located opposite the main entrance to the airport, across the parking lot, immediately behind the fences.

Minibus No. 128 runs from Yalta to Foros every 40 minutes. The last one seems to be around 8-9 o'clock. It departs from the upper platform of the bus station.

There is another option to take any Sevastopol bus from Yalta (they run every 20 minutes) and get off at the Foros stop on the highway. But then you will have to walk 3 kilometers down from the highway. With suitcases this is not the most pleasant experience.

By train

For lovers of the romance of trains, Russian Railways came up with a “Single Ticket” to Crimea. By train from all major cities of the country you can get either to Anapa or Krasnodar, from there by bus to the ferry crossing. Then you find yourself in Kerch and there you take other buses to travel to the villages and villages of the Crimean Peninsula.

This route can be found on the Russian Railways website.

But personally, I don’t see the point in such a ticket: making a bunch of transfers in the heat, and even the risk of being stuck at the crossing for several hours is very high. The tourists traveling with the “Single Ticket”, whom I met at the stations, had a very sad and “rumpled” look, they were no longer happy about coming to Crimea, fatigue from numerous road scrapes took over.

This option may be relevant for residents of remote regions, where flight fares are quite high, in order to save money. Getting to Crimea by plane from Central Russia is not at all expensive.

By bus

There are regular buses from Moscow and St. Petersburg to Kerch. The ticket price is about 3 thousand rubles. Having reached Kerch, you will need to get to the city you need on your own. Fortunately, the bus service between Kerch and the rest of Crimea is quite well developed.

There is another option: buy bus tours, where all connections and logistics are already thought out for you. Similar offers can be found from many travel agencies. It's a little more expensive, but you won't have to wait long for connections. The same tours are organized to cities such as and Bakhchisarai. Then no transfers at all. Travel time is a little more than a day.

The buses that carry long distances are quite comfortable - my friends who travel this way did not complain of discomfort.

By car

You can get from Moscow to Yalta by private car in 18 hours, excluding stops and food breaks. Gasoline costs will be about 10 thousand rubles. The road will run through Ukraine. From Moscow you need to take the E105 highway, which leads directly to Yalta, the length of the route is 1,481 km.

It is not difficult to get from Yalta to Foros - you need to move west towards Sevastopol for 40 kilometers, and turn towards the sea at the turn to Foros, indicated by a sign.

The journey from St. Petersburg will take about 30 hours. There are options: go either only through Ukraine, or through Belarus and Ukraine. The average is 2,200 km. If you drive only through Ukraine, then you should take the E95 highway, in Bryansk get onto the E101, follow it to Belgorod, and then change the road to E105. This is the most optimal, simple (less chance of getting lost at junctions and turns) and fastest option.

When is the season? When is the best time to go

The best time for a holiday in Crimea is mid-August - late September. Not so hot, not so stuffy, the sea is warm and rarely stormy. Local fruits, berries, nuts and vegetables have already ripened, young wines have been made from the new grape harvest and markets are starting to sell all these riches of Crimea. And the crowds of tourists are no longer so impressive. In general, absolutely all, without exception, the delights of southern resort life can be enjoyed during this period.

Foros in summer

Numerous Foros sanatoriums are all booked in the summer. But the streets are as deserted as always. Well, okay, maybe a little more crowded than in the off-season. Sedate elderly couples and mothers with small children relax there, for whom the quiet, desolate and non-criminal Foros is the real deal.

In general, in Crimea things are like this:

  • the sea warms up to a comfortable temperature(about +23°C) by mid-June and maintains this temperature until the end of September. Until this time, bathing has some hardening and invigorating effect: +18–20 °C. But on the small city beach (only three spaces between the breakwaters) all the free places are filled almost from 7 in the morning, and if you want to lie on the pebbles, and not on the hands and feet of your neighbors, then you need to go to the distant “Europe” beach.
  • Warm weather has been established in Crimea since May. But the hottest time is at the end of July - early August(usually it lasts 2-3 weeks). The heat is simply sweltering, and at night the earth does not have time to cool down, and it is terribly stuffy. And the sea is not at all refreshing; at this time it is disgustingly warm. Even the local southerners, fried by the sun to the very bones, are languishing in the heat and don’t know where to go. What can we say about us, cold northerners and other Vikings. At this time, I least recommend traveling with children: the poor fellows will only get tired of the heat and stuffiness and will not allow their parents to rest with their “climatic” whims.
  • Well, of course summer is the biggest influx of tourists. There are queues and crowds at all the attractions, and traffic jams on the narrow two-lane Crimean roads are only slightly worse than those in Moscow.

Foros in autumn

In autumn, Foros is beautiful - as it offers a view of the Foros edge, covered with golden and scarlet spots of autumn foliage. Very aesthetically pleasing and impressive.

Locals also bring a bunch of goodies from their gardens to self-proclaimed markets: fruits, vegetables, pickles, jams. Mushroom pickers sell freshly cut chanterelles and honey mushrooms, fishermen sell freshly caught bluefish and horse mackerel. Everything is environmentally friendly, without GMOs, take my word for it. Not frozen ice cream, not transported a million years far away, but grown in the fresh Crimean mountain-sea air and brought for sale with the freshest and most delicious :) In addition, they sell as much exotic stuff as you can’t find in any gingerbread store. branded supermarket.

In general, I repeat once again: autumn is definitely the best time for a holiday in Crimea, no matter in which village or city.

Foros in spring

In spring, Foros is a pleasant, quiet, sunny place. The sea is still cold (+15 °C), only walruses enjoy swimming. During the day it is quite warm - the temperature rises to +25 °C, and at night to +17 °C. But prices have not yet been set. And if you come at the end of May-April, you can find Crimea in bloom! The plateau is strewn with poppies, and the gardens are in clouds of the most fragrant flowering in the world. It's incredibly pleasing to the eye! The lavender fields alone are worth it.

And also, on the plateau, in the mountains right above Foros, a bunch of mountain flowers are blooming, and most importantly, snowdrops. At the end of April, thousands of delicate white bells bloom in mountain meadows. The spectacle is beautiful and unique! They shamelessly tear up the snowdrops and drag them home, where they wither every other day. And this, by the way, is a plant listed in the Red Book! So, let's just admire them and breathe in their sweet aroma in the forest, without leaving the cash register.

Foros in winter

In winter in Foros the melancholy is unreal. It, like all coastal villages, is dying out. So he's not the liveliest. Since the beginning of November, cafes, stalls and small seasonal hotels have been permanently closed, tourists are leaving, the streets are empty. It’s very rare if, while wandering somewhere around the village, you meet three people. To see one is good luck. After 6 the streets are quiet - it gets dark early in winter, and street lighting in Foros is limited to just a couple of lanterns. There is absolutely nowhere to go - no theaters, no cinema, no fitness centers, no courses, shows, screenings, parties, concerts... Public transport stops running at the same ill-fated 6 o'clock in the evening. After 6 - at least hang yourself. Even when the winter mountain winds are howling and the sea is stormy, and there is no trace of a cozy coffee shop nearby - it’s absolutely a nightmare - there is no other way to convey the full drama of winter in Crimea.

Temperatures in winter vary. It happens that it reaches -10 °C. This temperature is perceived as very disgusting due to the high humidity. Sometimes a piercing icy wind blows from the mountains or from the sea, when it simply blows you off your feet. Sometimes snow will fall, lie there for a day and then immediately melt. And most often, of course, sunny warm days from 0 to +5 ° C. Comfortable temperature for outdoor operation. Even in winter it is often stormy. And if you want to look at a truly raging element with two-meter waves and clouds of spray, then winter is ideal for this.

Districts. Where is the best place to live?

I don’t think that Foros is somehow divided into districts - it is quite small. Most likely, it contains the classic resort zoning based on distance from the sea. Those who want to be closer to the sea settle on the first or second coastal ones, but, of course, keep in mind that housing there is more expensive. Those who prefer to be away from spots with a high concentration of people rent a hut a little further (although in Foros there is generally a very low concentration of people) Easy, easy :)

An impressive part of Foros is occupied by closed sanatorium areas. Only vacationers on vouchers can live there.

What are the prices for holidays?

It is no secret that vacationing in Crimea is more expensive than in Turkey and Greece. And the South Coast in particular is generally the most expensive vacation spot in Crimea. Since most of the iconic tourist places are gathered here, Crimeans are not shy about exorbitant prices, which rise here every season. They can be understood - work is hard in Crimea, and the money the guys earn from tourists feeds them for the whole next year. But nevertheless, there are some who are completely insolent.

The main thing is not to fall for this - feel free to bargain with taxi drivers and shopkeepers, buy not the first souvenir you come across, but walk between the aisles. I bet someone will have the same product (and maybe even better) for 30% cheaper.

Accommodation

In high season it is difficult to find accommodation cheaper than 700 rubles per night. As a rule, such prices are offered by private owners. Hotels start from 1000 per night and go up to exorbitant prices. To avoid getting into trouble, it is better to compare the cost on the Internet in advance (for example,). You can also book a room on.

Nutrition

Lunch in a canteen or an average cafe will cost 200–300 rubles, and in restaurants and more decent cafes 500–700 rubles. The average price for visiting excursions and attractions is 300 rubles per piece.

Transport

A minibus to Yalta will cost about 50 rubles, in the village - 13, a bus to Simferopol 150 rubles, to Sevastopol - 100.

Main attractions. What to see

There are not many attractions in Foros itself and its surroundings, but there are still some quite interesting ones :)

Top 3

Beaches. Which ones are better

  • Central city beach. A classic of the genre of southern cities - noisy, crowded, a lot of cafes and stalls with food, beer and souvenirs, not enough space on the shore to lie down. Well, in Foros this is represented to a lesser extent, since it is not the most popular tourist spot.
  • Beaches of hotels and resorts. These beaches are always more civilized, cleaner, more well-groomed and not as densely populated as city beaches. Some Foros sanatoriums and hotels allow non-guests onto their premises for a fee. It can vary from 50 to 200 rubles. It often includes the use of sun loungers and umbrellas.
  • Beach "Derevyashka". Crimea is not Crimea without nudist beaches! In every coastal village there is always a place where people with free morals are attracted. In Foros, this beach has the characteristic name “wooden beach”.
  • Cold beach. It is named so because there are several cold springs under the water, and the water there is always a little colder than elsewhere. It is located in a very beautiful and quiet bay; as a rule, there are not many people there.

Churches and temples. Which ones are worth visiting?

Definitely worth a visit Foros Church, which is on the mountain above the village. If only simply because of the gorgeous views that open from its observation decks.

Museums. Which ones are worth visiting?

There are no museums as such in Foros. But there is the Tesseli estate, where all sorts of counts lived in the 19th century and Gagarin himself rested after the flight, as well as Gorbachev’s dacha. Tourists are not allowed in either place now and excursions are not held. But no one forbids walking next to them and taking pictures.

Tourist streets

Terletskaya and Shkolnaya streets lead to the beach, which means they can safely be called tourist streets - there are a lot of stalls with Crimean delicacies and souvenirs, several cafes and hostels.

What to see in 1 day

In one day you will go around the whole of Foros five times :)

Well, let’s say you came there from Yalta.

  • So, 10:00 you are in Foros.
  • 10:00 - 12:00 - swimming on one of its cleanest beaches.
  • 12:00 - 13:00 - escape from the heat into the coolness of the Foros park.
  • 13:00 - 14:00 - lunch in any cafe you like.
  • 14:00 - 15:00 - inspection of the Tesseli estate and Gorbachev’s dacha.
  • 15:00 - 17:00 - visit to the Foros Church and the Baydar Gate.
  • 17:00 - 18:00 - dinner at the “Shalash”.

What to see in the area

The surroundings of Foros are the entire South Coast and. Therefore, it is simply possible and even necessary to travel around the surrounding villages, and.

Food. What to try

  • Of course, in Crimea, the first thing you should do is fill your belly with all the southern delicacies - crayfish, oysters and mussels, boiled corn, dried Black Sea fish, churchkhela and baklava. It is definitely worth eating Crimean fruits and vegetables in the fall: figs, cherry plums, peaches, grapes, plums, dogwoods, cherries, walnuts, pistachios and olives. All this is available in stalls on beaches and embankments, as well as from merchants walking along tourist streets.
  • Since Crimea is famous for its rich Tatar culture, establishments of Crimean Tatar cuisine are most common here. And it's definitely worth a try pilaf, pasties, lagman and other national gastronomic delights. There are no such cafes in all the villages of large Yalta, and on average, lunch there costs 500 rubles. Local friendly Tatars, a diaspora of excellent gourmets and cooks cook there, so everything is very tasty and satisfying.
  • Besides, During the high tourist season, a bunch of canteens and cafes with European cuisine open. Many of them boast gorgeous views of the open terraces.
  • And the most important thing! Try everything that grannies sell in markets and just on the streets! Don’t be afraid of unsanitary conditions and generally discard such prejudices! The products are unique, have no analogues, and are always incredibly tasty and unusual. You can’t taste this anywhere else - grannies bring the most incredible things from their gardens, marinate it all in Crimean mountain herbs, bake it with spices unknown to us and, most importantly, with love and creativity. Mind blowing! Seriously, don't be afraid to try it, you won't regret it.

Holidays

Sometimes, in coastal villages, Neptune Day is celebrated - the holiday of the god of the sea. Mass celebrations, costume shows for children, competitions for adults and games for children are held on the beaches. At the end of the performance, the god Neptune comes out with his subjects and throws everyone into the sea :) It is always performed in the neighboring village, I can’t say for sure about Foros. Maybe there is such a tradition there too. It usually falls at the end of June.

Safety. What to watch out for

In general, Foros is a citadel of peace and security, but there are things that it is better to warn yourself against:

  • Intestinal infections- they, like food poisoning, are the ones you should be most careful of in hot weather. You should wash your fruits and hands thoroughly, do not swallow sea water from the beaches, and drink vitamins to boost your immunity.
  • Pocketnicknames You should pay special attention to your bags and wallets. Do not wear them open or leave them unattended on the beach. Thieves of all kinds flock to resort towns for easy prey. Gawky tourists, worn out by the southern sun, forget about safety and walk along the embankment with their mouths open and their backpacks on. This is the most delicious morsel for any pickpocket. Don't become one of these simpletons! Windows on the ground floor that are not protected by bars are also recommended to be closed at night and during your absence. Just be vigilant and everything will be fine. Although these guys don’t meddle in Foros - it’s a “dead” place for big loot, it’s worth keeping in mind the possibility of robbery.
  • Storm. You should also beware of them. Getting into a storm at sea is easy, but getting out is not so much. I was once thrown hard against the rocks before I could get out. You shouldn’t be arrogant and play with the elements - strong waves can drag you far from the shore or simply maim you on the coastal stones.

Things to do

In the village itself - lie on the beach, go to the market, eat southern delicacies, try sea fishing, go to Mount Mshatka, walk in the park. But besides this, you need to explore other cool corners of the South Coast, go on excursions and take all sorts of interesting tours :)

Shopping and shops

Present in Foros only in the form of grocery stores and one Soyuzpechat stall. The best part of shopping in Crimea is walking through the markets for local delicacies and souvenirs :) You can’t grab branded clothes in Crimea - because of sanctions, all European and American labels have closed their shops here.

Bars. Where to go

Every southern cafe, which is open only in season, is also a bar and a club. They sing, dance, and order karaoke. 90% of cafes and restaurants in Foros provide all these services. And they are everywhere

same level, quality and plan. Just take a walk in the evening through the center of the village and along the embankment - you will immediately understand where to go by the characteristic music and singing.

But in Partenit, these establishments are very much for everyone - they seem to be stuck in the 90s and do not know that there are singers besides Rosembaum and others like him, and bar culture has already stepped much further than sticky tables and cocktails made only of vodka and juice.

Extreme Sports

The Southern Coast of Crimea is a real haven for extreme sports enthusiasts. Steep forest trails are wonderful for downhill cycling and freeride, mountain cliffs are for rope jumpers, the mysterious waters of the Black Sea are for divers and kayakers, tall rock formations are for rock climbing and mountaineering, relief plateaus are for jeeping, mountain river beds are for canyoning, deep caves - for caving tourism. And I'm sure this is not the whole list.

Above Foros there is the Forossky Kant, the rock massif Mshatka and Uarch-Kaya. All of them are dotted with climbing routes, and in general they are the most popular places for training and competitions among domestic climbers. There is a good campsite right below the massif, so climbers do not settle in Foros itself.

Souvenirs. What to bring as a gift

As a gift from Crimea, it is definitely worth bringing sweet Yalta onions, aromatic sunflower oil, Crimean teas and wines (only it is better to buy them at wineries, the markets are full of fakes), local spices (the Svan mixture is especially good), aromatic oils and soaps, nuts and olives, honey and jam from local fruits, bracelets and necklaces made of shells, paintings by local painters, ceramics from potters, toys carved from wood. All this can be found in the markets.

Classic souvenirs like magnets, shell beads, teas and soap can be purchased for 100 rubles. The price for tourist cards is the same. The cost of illustrated publications about Crimea starts from 300 rubles. Spices cost from 30 rubles per bag. Wines - from 250 per bottle. In addition, in markets and souvenir stalls you can safely practice the art of bargaining and bring down the price a little :)

How to get around the city

On foot, of course! How else can you get around a small coastal village? The only thing is that it has a lot of slides with significant height changes. At first it’s unusual - you’re out of breath and your muscles hurt. But by the time the vacation comes to an end, the legs and lungs are already getting used to and adapting :)

Taxi. What features exist

A taxi ride in Yalta or Sevastopol costs on average 150 rubles. You just need to call the ordering services, and not use the services of bombs that lure rogue tourists. They jack up prices shamelessly. Taxi numbers are available on the Internet, I just called the first number that came up in a search engine. Unfortunately, convenient Yandex taxi and other applications have not yet reached Crimea. To the airport, taxi drivers usually charge 2000–3000 rubles. From Foros to Yalta and Sevastopol - from 500 to 700 rubles.

Buses

According to locals, minibuses do not go through the village itself. I take their word for it, but I haven’t checked it myself.

From the Foros bus station you can get to Yalta, Sevastopol, Simferopol and Bakhchisarai.

The schedule changes from winter to summer, you need to check it at the bus station, and as a rule they are also posted at bus stops and inside the buses.

Transport rental

Many people rent cars and for good reason. This is much more convenient than being stuck in crowded summer minibuses, not knowing where to get off and whether you will catch the last flight.

There is no rental service in Foros, but there is one in Yalta, Sevastopol, Bakhchisarai and Simferopol. At the airport itself there are several offices of various car rental companies. On average, renting an economy class car for 7 days costs about 8,000 rubles. Business class - about 15,000. During the high tourist season, you need to book cars in advance, at least a month in advance. You can view possible rental options.

Be careful on winding and steep mountain roads - that's my only advice. Driving on flat terrain is different from driving on mountainous terrain. The latter requires more skill and dexterity. So don't be reckless, just be careful :)

Foros - holidays with children

Foros is ideal for holidays with small children. Clean, quiet, calm, without crowds of tourists and cafes screaming chanson until nightfall. Clean large beaches, a picturesque shady park for walking with a stroller, children's playgrounds. It’s good for both kids and parents :)

Foros is a city with a rich, amazing history and unforgettable landscapes. Here everyone will find a place for themselves, from a lover of active recreation to a connoisseur of a relaxing family pastime.

Story

According to some sources, Foros is already 25 centuries old. In the 1st century AD e. Crimea was occupied by the Romans. In the Middle Ages, the Genoese fortress of Fori was located on the territory of the village, the destruction of which occurred in 1475 by order of the Turkish authorities. The Crimean Khanate dominated Foros for about 9 years. The monetary unit at that time was Byzantine coins. This means that in the 9th century there was a seaport here. In the vicinity of Foros, historians discovered fragments of amphorae and jugs.

In 83 of the eighteenth century, Crimea was annexed to Russia. Later, Empress Catherine II came here and donated lands. And this area was assigned to the control of Prince Potemkin. Then there was a scandal over the ownership of this land and Foros was taken away from Potemkin and transferred to the ownership of Obergoff Marshal K.A. Naryshkin.

And in 1896 the village belonged to the Ushakov family. Gradually the village turned into a resort town. The Ushakovs owned chemical plants. Celebrities came to vacation in Foros: musicians, artists and poets. At one time, the borders of Foros were closed to foreigners. Today, the village welcomes guests from all over the world.

In 22 of the last century, the counties were renamed into districts. Forty years later, Foros was given the status of an urban village. In 1967, construction of the South Coast Highway began. In 2014, the village was included in Russia.

Sights and excursions

The visiting card of the resort village is the Church of the Resurrection of Christ. He positioned himself on a cliff in front of a cliff. Its construction ended in 1892. With the assistance of A. Kuznetsov (“the tea king”), a church building was built. The floors are made in mosaic style. The walls are painted by Russian artists: A, T. Korzukhin, V, E, Makovsky and N, E, Sverchkov.

The silhouette of the building is reminiscent of the churches that were in Moscow at the end of the eighteenth century. In the 24th year of the last century, the Soviet authorities decided to close it, the abbot was even exiled to the Siberian regions. Until 1969, a tourist eatery operated in the building. Due to the fire that was constantly lit inside, beautiful frescoes were lost and the ornament disappeared. In the nineties, restoration of the building began again as a church. Tourists admire the majestic beauty of the structure and the view that opens from its location.

Another attraction is directly connected with that “tea king” Kuznetsov - more precisely, the palace and park complex. Kuznetsov began to build it to make his stay in these places more pleasant; he and his wife suffered from tuberculosis and spent a lot of time in the village. The forms of the building are strict and simple. Beautiful balconies, spacious windows, stone facades - all this attracts a lot of attention. Oak doors, marble fireplaces and fifteen beautiful landscapes created by the famous artist Y. Klever have been preserved. There was a forest around the palace, which became the basis for the park. More than two hundred species of different shrubs and trees grow on its territory.

An interesting attraction is the sunken cargo ship of Batiliman Bay, which attracts all divers. Neither the state to which the ship belonged nor the name is known. It was flooded in the 30s of the 20th century. It is believed that this was done intentionally. The length was 130 m. The ship lies at a depth of 6-17 m. Fragments of some parts of the cargo ship are preserved quite well. Some divers like to take pictures next to them, especially on the propeller blades with a four-meter diameter. It is possible to swim inside the ship.

Laspinsky Pass is the highest point from which a breathtaking panorama is visible. There is an observation deck on the rock. Thousand-year-old trees grow on clones. The water space is inhabited by various living organisms. From 1998 to 2003 on the pass architect G.S. Grigoryants erected a chapel.

Beaches and embankments

The village has a small and cozy embankment. Here you can find inspiration for painting beautiful paintings while enjoying the beautiful views. State beaches are free. The main beach, "Green Beach", is covered with small pebbles, although in some places there are large boulders. Part of the surface is concrete slabs. Entering the water is sometimes difficult due to the presence of sharp stones. It is this beach area that has the widest coastline in Foros. There are places for changing clothes, equipment rental, a station with lifeguards, and a cafe. Since getting to the beach is very easy, there are always a lot of people on it.

The “Pink Beach” has a rocky shore; divers and people who like to feel the adrenaline in their blood love to relax here. There used to be pink gravel here. Now the sea has worn away all the gravel. The peculiarity of the beach is very clear water and an excellent descent for divers.

As you can see, the names of the local beaches are simple but interesting. Another one is called a “cold beach”, and all because several springs cool the water near the shore. Its territory is divided into two zones, one covered with large pebbles and the other with small ones. There is only a changing room.

Wild stone beaches are located between Cape Nikolai and the sanitized beaches of Foros. You cannot call this area a beach, as there are many blocks, boulders and stones. But the water in this area is crystal clear. There are beaches belonging to sanatoriums. They are comfortable. But getting to them is not as easy as getting to the others. If a tourist is not a hotel guest, he will have to pay, and some establishments do not allow strangers onto their territory at all.

Accommodation

Despite the fact that the village of Foros is small, it has a good selection of places where you can stay during your holiday. The village's sanatoriums are considered one of the best on the peninsula. Of course, this affects prices. The good news is that they are open all year round, so you can save money if you come here on vacation not during the high season. The price of a trip most often includes various services.

In sanatoriums you can not only improve your health, but also exercise, as well as diversify your pastime with entertainment. Some establishments have educators who are ready to look after children while their parents are away. Interesting events are organized by animators.

The important thing is that the resorts have their own beaches. As mentioned above, entry to them is limited to outsiders, and sometimes impossible at all, thanks to which the guests of the sanatoriums feel safe and calm. The sanatorium rooms are divided into several categories - “family”, “luxury”, “junior suite”, “standard”. Family rooms are spacious. Superior rooms have additional services such as a jacuzzi. Some sanatorium areas have a swimming pool, playgrounds for children, a sauna and other departments.

You can also stay in hotels in the village. Even though most of them are not all-inclusive, the level of service is decent. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Many hotels are located near the sea, restaurants, cafes, and shops. Not every hotel can boast of its own parking, but such establishments do exist. In Foros it is easy to choose an establishment where it is pleasant and comfortable to live.

Entertainment and active recreation

Foros offers tourists different types of entertainment. There is a private equestrian base offering horseback riding. Various routes have been developed. Such walks allow you to enjoy the beauty of the Baydar Valley and communicate with magnificent animals. An interesting entertainment is riding enduro motorcycles. They are organized by a group of enthusiasts. There are also different routes. Motorcycles can be rented. Full support and necessary service is provided.

Why not take part in mountain climbing? They are carried out with the help of experienced instructors throughout the mountainous Crimea. You can rent the necessary equipment. Beginners can also participate in the ascents, and they are taught everything.

“Green Beach” offers scooter rides, which are very powerful. An experienced instructor guides those who wish to ride safely on steep turns. Sometimes experienced tourists are given the opportunity to ride independently.

Boat trips, restaurants, discos - these and other events help make your vacation even more memorable. Foros is a resort with great opportunities!

pharmachologic effect

Non-hormonal specific inhibitor of osteoclastic bone resorption, suppressing the activity of osteoclasts. Stimulates osteogenesis, restores a positive balance between bone resorption and restoration, increases bone mineral density (regulates phosphorus-calcium metabolism), promotes the formation of bone tissue with a normal histological structure.

Pharmacokinetics

Suction

The bioavailability of alendronate at a dose of 70 mg when taken orally on an empty stomach 2 hours before a standard breakfast was 0.64% in women and 0.59% in men. When taken 1 hour or 30 minutes before breakfast, the bioavailability of alendronate decreased to 0.46% and 0.39%, respectively. Clinical studies have confirmed the effectiveness of alendronate when administered at least 30 minutes before the first meal or drink. The bioavailability of alendronate is negligible when taken with food or within 2 hours after a meal. When taken together with coffee or orange juice, the bioavailability of the drug decreases by approximately 60%. The concentration of the drug in the blood is insignificant (less than 5 ng/ml).

Distribution

Alendronate, after intravenous administration at a dose of 1 mg/kg, is temporarily distributed into soft tissues and then quickly redistributed into bone tissue or excreted in the urine. The average V d in an equilibrium state, not counting bone tissue, is about 28 liters in humans. Plasma protein binding is about 78%.

Metabolism

There is no evidence that alendronate is metabolized in humans.

Removal

After a single intravenous administration of alendronate, labeled with carbon atoms [ 14 C], about 50% is excreted by the kidneys within 72 hours and a small amount is excreted through the intestines. After a single intravenous administration of alendronate at a dose of 10 mg, renal clearance is 71 ml/min, and systemic clearance does not exceed 200 ml/min. 6 hours after intravenous administration, the plasma concentration decreases by more than 95%.

Indications

Contraindications

  • strictures or achalasia of the esophagus and other conditions leading to slower movement of food through the esophagus;
  • the patient's inability to stand or sit for 30 minutes;
  • hypocalcemia;
  • severe renal failure (creatinine clearance less than 35 ml/min);
  • severe disturbances of mineral metabolism;
  • pregnancy;
  • lactation period (breastfeeding);

Carefully: diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, such as dysphagia, gastritis, diseases of the esophagus, duodenitis, peptic ulcer disease in the acute phase, active gastrointestinal bleeding or surgery in the upper gastrointestinal tract during the year preceding the start of treatment; hypovitaminosis D.

Dosage

The drug should be used to ensure the daily requirement of calcium and D.

The optimal duration of use of the drug has not been established. The need for continued bisphosphonate therapy should be assessed regularly, especially after 5 or more years of use.

To ensure proper absorption of the drug Forosa The tablets must be taken in the morning on an empty stomach, at least 30 minutes before the first meal, drink or other medications, with a glass of plain water (at least 200 ml). Other drinks (including mineral water) may reduce the absorption of the drug.

To reduce the risk of irritation esophagus: 1) the drug Forosa should be taken only after fully waking up and getting out of bed; 2) swallow the tablets whole (do not chew, dissolve or dissolve them in the mouth due to the possible formation of ulcers in the oral cavity and pharynx; 3) do not take a horizontal position before the first meal (the first meal - no earlier than 30 minutes after taking the drug); 4) you should not take the drug before bed or before getting out of bed in the morning.

For elderly patients and patients with impaired liver function, moderate impaired renal function (creatinine clearance more than 35 ml/min), no dose adjustment is required.

Side effects

In a one-year study of postmenopausal women with osteoporosis, the overall safety profiles of once-weekly alendronic acid 70 mg (n=519) and 10 mg/day (n=370) were similar.

In two 3-year studies of virtually identical design in postmenopausal women (alendronic acid 10 mg/day: n=196; placebo: n=397), the overall safety profiles of alendronic acid and placebo were similar.

Side effects noted by investigators as possibly related to, likely related to, and likely related to the drug are listed below. The incidence of side effects was ≥1% in one of the treatment groups (in the one-year study or in one of the three-year studies of alendronate at a dose of 10 mg/day) and was higher than the rate of side effects in patients receiving placebo:

In widespread clinical practice (including clinical trial data and post-marketing data), the following undesirable effects have been reported, which are classified according to their frequency (WHO classification): very common (≥1/10); often (≥1/100,<1/10), нечасто (≥1/1000, < 1/100), редко (≥1/10 000, <1/1000) и очень редко (<1/10 000), частота неизвестна - по имеющимся данным установить частоту возникновения не представлялось возможным.

From the immune system: rarely - hypersensitivity reactions (including skin hyperemia, urticaria, angioedema).

From the side of metabolism: rarely - symptomatic hypocalcemia (often associated with conditions predisposing to it); very rarely - asymptomatic transient hypophosphatemia.

From the nervous system: often - dizziness, headache; infrequently - perversion of taste; frequency unknown - irritability.

From the side of the organ of vision: infrequently - scleritis, uveitis (inflammation of the uvea of the eye) and episcleritis (inflammation of the connective tissue between the sclera and conjunctiva).

Hearing and labyrinth disorders: often - vertigo (dizziness).

Co sides of the digestive system: often - abdominal pain, dyspeptic disorders (constipation, diarrhea, flatulence), dysphagia, esophageal ulcer, bloating, heartburn; uncommon - nausea, vomiting, esophagitis, gastritis, ulceration of the esophageal mucosa, melena; rarely - esophageal strictures, ulceration of the mucous membrane of the mouth, pharynx, stomach and duodenum, bleeding from the upper gastrointestinal tract, perforation of the esophagus.

For the skin and subcutaneous tissues: often - alopecia, itching of the skin; uncommon - rash, redness of the skin; rarely - increased photosensitivity, severe skin reactions, including Stevens-Johnson syndrome (malignant exudative erythema) and Lyell's syndrome (toxic epidermal necrolysis).

From the musculoskeletal system: very often - pain in muscles, bones, joints; often - joint swelling; rarely - osteonecrosis of the jaw (see section "Special Instructions"), atypical fractures of the proximal diaphysis of the femur; very rarely - osteonecrosis of the external auditory canal.

Common disorders: often - asthenia, peripheral edema; uncommon - transient flu-like symptoms (muscle pain, fatigue, rarely - fever), usually occurring at the beginning of therapy.

Overdose

Symptoms: abdominal pain, dyspeptic disorders, dysphagia, heartburn, esophagitis, gastritis; Hypocalcemia and hypophosphatemia may develop.

Treatment symptomatic. The use of milk and antacids to bind alendronate is indicated. Due to the risk of damage to the esophagus, vomiting should not be induced and the patient should be in an upright position.

Drug interactions

The simultaneous use of calcium supplements (including dietary supplements), and certain other oral medications, as well as food and liquid intake (including mineral water) impairs the absorption of alendronic acid. In this regard, it is recommended to take other medications no earlier than 30 minutes after using Forosa. NSAIDs (including) may enhance the side effects of alendronic acid on the gastrointestinal mucosa.

In clinical studies in patients taking estrogen-containing products (intravaginally, transdermally, or orally) concomitantly with alendronate, no clinically significant interactions were observed.

Although specific drug interaction studies have not been conducted, the use of alendronate in clinical studies with a large number of commonly used drugs was not accompanied by the development of clinically significant interactions.

special instructions

Foroz tablets should be taken only with plain water, because other drinks (including mineral water, tea, coffee, fruit juices) impair the absorption of the drug.

Taking alendronate before bed or in a horizontal position increases the risk of developing esophagitis.

Taking alendronic acid before bed or in a horizontal position increases the risk of developing esophagitis.

Alendronate may cause local irritation of the mucous membrane of the upper gastrointestinal tract. The drug Forosa should be prescribed with caution to patients with exacerbation of diseases of the upper gastrointestinal tract, such as dysphagia, diseases of the esophagus, gastritis, duodenitis, ulcers, as well as active gastrointestinal bleeding, surgical intervention in the upper gastrointestinal tract during the year preceding the start of treatment, with the exception of pyloroplasty, because the use of the drug may lead to a worsening of the underlying disease.

The decision to proceed with treatment must be made individually for each patient after a careful risk/benefit assessment, especially for patients with Barrett's esophagus.

During treatment with alendronate, there are known cases of adverse reactions from the esophagus (esophagitis, ulcer or erosion of the esophagus), sometimes severe and requiring hospital treatment and in rare cases complicated by the formation of a stricture.

It is necessary to monitor the possibility of any adverse reactions from the esophagus. The patient should be informed of the need to stop taking the drug and consult a doctor if dysphagia, pain when swallowing, chest pain and heartburn develop.

In post-marketing reports, rare cases of gastric and duodenal ulcers, sometimes severe and complicated, have been reported, although no increase in this risk was noted in extended clinical studies of alendronate.

The risk of severe esophageal side effects is greater in patients who take alendronic acid not as directed in this label and/or who continue to take it after symptoms suggestive of esophageal irritation have occurred. It is important to explain in detail to the patient the rules for taking the drug and make sure that he understands them. Patients should be aware of the increased risk of adverse events from the esophagus if they deviate from the instructions.

Before starting therapy with Forosa, correction of hypocalcemia and other metabolic disorders (such as vitamin D deficiency) is necessary. Due to the increase in bone mineral density during alendronic acid therapy, a slight clinically asymptomatic decrease in serum calcium and phosphate concentrations is possible, especially in patients receiving corticosteroids, in whom calcium absorption may be reduced. Therefore, it is important to ensure that sufficient amounts of calcium and vitamin D enter the body, which is especially important in patients receiving corticosteroids.

Patients should be warned that if they accidentally miss a dose of the drug according to the once-weekly regimen, they should take 1 tablet in the morning of the next day (it is unacceptable to take 2 tablets in one day). In the future, you should continue to take 1 tablet on the day of the week that was chosen at the beginning of therapy.

There is also information about the development of osteonecrosis of the jaw in patients with osteoporosis receiving oral bisphosphonates. When assessing an individual's risk of developing osteonecrosis of the jaw, risk factors such as:
bisphosphonate activity (highest for zoledronic acid), route of administration and total dose of the drug; oncological diseases, chemotherapy, radiation therapy, taking corticosteroids, taking angiogenesis inhibitors, smoking; history of dental disease, poor oral hygiene, gum disease, invasive dental procedures, poorly fitting dentures. Before starting oral bisphosphonate therapy, patients should undergo a dental examination with appropriate preventive dental treatment. During treatment, these patients should avoid invasive dental procedures if possible. For patients who develop osteonecrosis of the jaw during bisphosphonate treatment, dental surgery may worsen the condition.

There are no data regarding the possible reduction in the risk of osteonecrosis of the jaw after discontinuation of bisphosphonates in patients requiring dental intervention. In each case, the decision must be made by the attending physician based on an assessment of the ratio of the expected benefit to the possible risk for a particular patient. During bisphosphonate therapy, patients should be counseled on the importance of good oral hygiene, oral health screenings, and the need to report any oral symptoms, such as loose teeth, pain, or swelling.

An adverse event reported was osteonecrosis of the external auditory canal, which was predominantly associated with long-term use of alendronate. Possible risk factors for osteonecrosis of the external auditory canal include steroid use, chemotherapy, infection, and trauma.

Bone, joint and/or muscle pain has been reported in patients receiving bisphosphonates. These symptoms were rarely severe and/or disabling. The time of onset of symptoms varied from one day to several months from the start of therapy. In most patients, symptoms resolved after cessation of treatment. In some patients, symptoms reappeared when the same drug or another bisphosphonate was resumed.

Pathologic (i.e., low-force or spontaneous) subtrochanteric fractures and proximal femoral shaft fractures may occur in patients taking alendronic acid long-term. Fractures can occur after minimal or no trauma. Some patients may experience hip pain, often with outward signs of stress fractures weeks/months before a complete femur fracture occurs.

Atypical proximal femoral shaft fractures were often bilateral, so patients with a long-standing femoral shaft fracture who are taking bisphosphonates should have the contralateral hip evaluated. It is known that the fractures described do not heal well. It is advisable to discontinue bisphosphonates in patients with stress fractures after assessing their condition based on an individual assessment of the risk/benefit ratio.

During post-marketing use, there have been rare reports of severe skin reactions, including Stevens-Johnson syndrome and Lyell's syndrome (toxic epidermal necrolysis).

Causes of osteoporosis other than estrogen deficiency and age should be considered.

Impact on the ability to drive vehicles and machinery

No studies have been conducted on the effect of alendronic acid on the ability to drive vehicles and operate machinery. However, since While taking alendronic acid, it is possible to develop dizziness, as well as other side effects; caution should be exercised when driving vehicles and machinery and refrain from performing these activities in case of side effects.

Pregnancy and lactation

The drug Forosa is contraindicated during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

There are no data on the effect of alendronic acid on the fetus when using the drug during pregnancy. However, there is a theoretical risk of negative effects on the fetus (especially bone tissue) if pregnancy occurs after a course of bisphosphonate therapy. Once ingested, bisphosphonates are incorporated into the bone matrix, from where they are gradually released over several years. The amount of bisphosphonates embedded in the bone matrix and able to enter the systemic circulation directly depends on the dose and duration of drug use.

Animal studies have shown impaired fetal bone formation with high doses of alendronic acid and labor dysfunction associated with hypocalcemia.

It is unknown whether alendronic acid passes into breast milk, so the use of the drug during breastfeeding is contraindicated.
